One thing I’ve always had to deal with is experiencing the desire to work on something creative. Think about this, if you’re a creative like I am than you’ve dealt with this too. As an artist, you have multiple projects or ideas you can work on at any time. Do you? No. A lot of time of an artist isn’t spent creating their art, it’s within their own mind. Whether it be a prison or a sanctuary, there are times we just get lost in this space.
Currently, I’m sitting on a few things, actually quite a few things I can be working on at the moment. Sometimes it’s hard to find that passion to either work on that painting, edit those multiple back logged photos as well as videos, doing house repair or improvement, etc.
It’s healthy to allow yourself some time to be in that space if you need to be, we all need breaks sometimes. But there has to be a level of disciple to get out of that space and back into a creative rhythm to be productive. Some tips that I’ve been able to implement are focusing on smaller goals. If you allow yourself to know what your main end goal is, then you can guide most of your focus on more short term goals that coincide in the direction of the ultimate success. I allow the universe to guide most of my path and accept the things that happen, reflect on the experience to be able to handle anything like that again. Growth is an everyday thing, this everyday blog is helping my every growth, maybe you can do the same?
